Ahead of us is a summer outdoor music festival in the illuminated courtyards of the Royal Castle on Wawel Hill. The first concert will start on August 4, 2023, and the entire event will last for the next 9 days until August 13, 2023.
Wawel at dusk is a unique open-air classical music festival that, besides music, showcases the historical architecture of the Royal Castle on Wawel Hill to the audience. The main idea of the sixteenth edition of the festival will be the stylistic diversity of the performed music (broadly understood classical, compositional work of the second half of the 20th century, native folk and film music, various performance formations), the meeting of Culture and Nature, and representatives of the 1933 generation – Krzysztof Penderecki and Henryk Mikołaj Górecki – on the 90th anniversary of the composers' births.
