Book Fair in Krakow
Next week, from October 26 to October 29, the Book Fair will take place at EXPO in Krakow. More than 700 authors and 450 exhibitors will participate in the event. The program includes numerous discussions, workshops, and meetings with creators, as well as an opportunity to expand your home library.
The International Book Fair is one of the most important literary events in Poland. The motto of this year's edition is a quote from the poem "Birthday" by Wisława Szymborska: "So much of the world from all sides of the world." Along with this slogan, the EXPO space will be filled with all kinds of literature from all over the world. Participants will find fiction, non-fiction, religious, scientific, popular-science, crime, thrillers, children's literature, young adult, fantasy, as well as comics and board games.
Readers will also be able to attend author meetings with, among others: Katarzyna Bonda, Max Cegielski, Wojciech Chmielarz, Katarzyna Nosowska, Jacek Dukaj, Robert Małecki, Katarzyna Puzyńska, Mariusz Szczygieł, Szczepan Twardoch, and Jakub Żulczyk.
The youngest will not be bored either, as numerous interesting workshops await them - scientific, artistic, graphic, and illustration.
This year's edition of the event will also include well-known and popular festivals. Among them: the Mountain and Travel Literature Festival, the Women's Literature Festival, and the Dark Stories Festival.
There will also be a solution for those unable to attend the event in person. During the four days of the festival, the Virtual Fair Platform will be available, hosted by well-known and popular literary journalists: Małgorzata Bugaj, Justyna Dżbik-Kluge, Łukasz Wojtusik, and Adam Szaja. The Fair Television formula is somewhat like a morning TV show. These will be short talks about literature, premieres, and what is happening in the publishing market – emphasized Małgorzata Downar.
