Lost - city game

On August 26th, famous literary characters will appear in the branches of the Kraków Library. Just gather your friends and sign up for the city game Lost organized as part of the project The World of Books Within Reach.

The Kraków Library invites you to two editions (August 26 and September 22) of the game for film and literature lovers. Two different contests will take place within it. One for the most interesting name of the group participating in the game (groups can consist of 2 to 5 people) and a contest for the best costume inspired by any literary character. The winners of the game and contests will be announced in October during the final costume ball.

The theme of the game revolves around the heroes of famous novels, as well as various literary genres and motifs. Each branch where the game will take place will be specially arranged and staged according to a specific literary genre: crime, fantasy, horror, romance, adventure novel, fairy tale, and comedy, and the fun will be led by well-known literary characters! An additional attraction encouraging participation will be the opportunity to take photos with the costumed characters.

General rules of the City Game Lost:

• We invite groups of 2-5 people to the game. To participate in the game, you need to fill out a registration form specifying the number of people willing to join, and then on the day of the game register the group at the starting branch (Branch No. 7 at al. Pokoju).
• The registration limit for one game session is 150 people in total from all groups.
• The game will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Participants must visit as many locations as possible, find the characters, and perform special tasks for them, which will be rewarded with points. The number of collected points and the total time in which they were collected count.
• During team registration (August 26) participants will be equipped with Game Cards on which they will collect stamps for correctly completed tasks, as well as special maps and tickets allowing free travel between branches on that day. At the finish line, the number of points collected will be verified and the filled card will be exchanged for an invitation to the Costume Ball where the winners will be chosen.
• The game is intended for everyone interested in city games, LARPs, literature, history, and good fun – regardless of age group.
• The first session (August 26, 2023) will take place at the following locations: Branch No. 7 (al. Pokoju 33) – START, Branch No. 49 (os. Tysiąclecia 42), Branch No. 50 (os. Kościuszkowskie 5), Branch No. 53 (os. Stalowe 12), Branch No. 56 (os. Zgody 7), Branch No. 48 (os. Boh. Września 26), and Branch No. 52 (os. Na Stoku 1).
