Travel through Mexico in Krakow

11.07.2023 - 31.12.2099

Photos of Mexican cities recognized by UNESCO as world heritage sites have appeared on the fence around Jordan Park. They can be viewed until the end of September.

Mexico is one of the leading countries with the largest number of cities listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. There are as many as 13 of them, and you can admire them while walking through Jordan Park. Each photograph is described and equipped with the most important and interesting information. This exhibition consists of nearly 100 panels, displayed there due to the 95th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Poland and Mexico. Its aim is to showcase the cultural richness of Mexican cities by presenting their most representative places and emphasizing their significance in world heritage.

The photographs depict both breathtaking, monumental architecture, its diversity as well as the richness of color on the streets and the hospitality and smiles on the faces of the residents. Photos of cities such as Campeche, Ciudad de Mexico, Durango, Guanajuato, Morelia, Oaxaca, Puebla, Queretaro, San Juan del Rio, San Luis Potosi, San Miguel de Allende, Tlacotalpan, Xochimilco, and Zacatecas are presented.

It is also worth noting that the Mexican cities listed as world heritage sites constitute a part of Camino Real Tierra Adentro – a route with 60 unique places located along 1600 km of roads. This is the first cultural land route established by Spaniards inhabiting America.
