BulwArt Promenade in Nowa Huta

The Łaźnia Nowa Theatre and the House of Utopia in Nowa Huta invite you to nearly 40 different events in the fields of literature, music, and theater. Starting from June 30th, for five consecutive weekends in July, many opportunities await those eager to engage with art.

 

• A Midsummer Night's Dream – a series of summer theater performances

The stage will feature recognized and award-winning performances presented in the Łaźnia Nowa Theatre program. The performances as part of the Summer Night Scene can be watched every weekend in July, always at 7:00 PM for 30 PLN.

•  "View from the Roof of the World" – literary meetings on the roof

Conversations with authors of books about how not to succumb to helplessness, how to escape suffering, and about the gentleness of the surrounding landscape as well as the solace that comes from being part of it.

• Tea on the roof – a ceremony of drinking hot infusions

On Friday evenings preceding "View from the Roof of the World", from 7:00 PM to 8:10 PM, it will be possible to take part in a ceremony of drinking infusions from Nowa Huta. During these "tea" gatherings calling to mind the taste of summer, there will be among others "flowering herbal dry", "wood lemonade – ash drink", "forest walk in cups", "summer cooling", and "fruit madness", during which participants’ cups will contain sun-warmed strawberries and berries as well as raspberry leaves and hibiscus petals.

 

• Music in the Chambers of Silence – a combination of ambient music with soundscape

The concerts will take place on the roof of the House of Utopia, overlooking the Nowa Huta Reservoir and the Rose Avenue.

 To avoid "polluting" the natural audio atmosphere with additional sounds, the concerts will be held in "silent music" mode, meaning we will use pre-prepared headphones and microphones – announces Rafał Mazur, curator of the Music in the Chambers of Silence series.
